Webflow

← All terms · No-code / low-code platforms

A professional visual web development platform used to design, build, and launch custom, responsive websites and CMS-driven content without writing code.

What it is

Webflow provides a visual interface that directly manipulates HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Unlike simple template builders, it gives designers total control over the DOM and CSS properties (like flexbox and grid). It features a robust built-in Content Management System (CMS) and produces extremely clean, production-ready code.

When you would use it

You use Webflow when you require pixel-perfect control over a website's design and animations, but want to visually construct it rather than writing raw HTML and CSS.

Common operations

  • Designing and launching a highly customized corporate website.
  • Building a complex, scalable blog using the visual CMS.
