War room
An emergency coordination space where the relevant people gather quickly to diagnose and fix a major production problem.
What it is
A war room is a temporary, high-focus response setup. Engineers, support, and sometimes leadership work together in one place or channel to share updates, assign actions, and restore service.
When you would use it
You use a war room when an incident is serious enough that normal handoffs are too slow.
Common operations
- Coordinating a live outage response
- Sharing status across teams
- Tracking urgent decisions
