Orbit Chat

← All terms · Orbit-internal concepts

Orbit's full chat interface for extended planning sessions, distinct from Apollo's quick floating window. Better suited to deep work and longer conversations.

What it is

Apollo handles fast, conversational operations. Orbit Chat is for deeper planning — extended conversations about architecture, drafting complex prompts, or working through difficult problems. Both connect to the same project context but are optimized for different interaction patterns.

When you would use it

You use Orbit Chat for substantial work, Apollo for quick operations. The dividing line is roughly: if you'd need more than a few turns, use Orbit Chat.

Common operations

  • Drafting complex multi-step prompts
  • Architectural discussions with full project context
  • Deep planning sessions before queueing work
