Gate 1
The first review gate in Coordinator Mode: you review and approve the proposed task decomposition before any code is written.
What it is
After Decompose produces a plan, Gate 1 shows you the breakdown — subtasks, dependencies, scope, cost estimates. You can adjust before approving. Nothing executes until you click through Gate 1. This catches bad decompositions before they consume agent time and tokens.
When you would use it
You hit Gate 1 every time you start a Coordinator Mode build. It's the primary point of plan correction.
Common operations
- Reviewing a decomposed plan
- Adjusting subtask scope before launch
- Aborting a poorly decomposed task and re-running Decompose
